Arun Jaitely, the Leader of the Rajya Sabha, hosted a lunch for leaders of almost all Opposition parties including the JD-U. It's a routine affair hosted by Jaitley during every Parliament session, whether he is in the ruling party or in the Opposition. Invariably, the lunch will be vegetarian.

This time, Ajay Sancheti, a BJP Rajya Sabha MP from Maharashtra was tasked with getting the food from Mumbai. And so, we hear authentic Marwari food, along with a few Gujarati and Maharashtrian delicacies were flown in from Mumbai for the occasion. MPs cutting across parties -- Congress, SP, BSP, TMC, AIADMK, DMK '" broke bread especially since it was also a farewell lunch for the Rajya Sabha chairperson, Hamid Ansari, who demitted office as vice-president today.
