Our resolve is freeing Kashmir of Pak-sponsored terrorism: J&K Police

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday assured that attempts are being made to normalise the situation in the Valley after the Awantipora Police, 50 RR and CRPF jointly gunned down a Lashkar-e-Taiba's terrorist. Deputy General, J-K, SP Vaid while speaking to ANI said, "The resolve of security forces is to get freedom from the menace of Pakistan sponsored terrorism.

"Vaid informed that following a specific intelligence input about the presence of two to three terrorists in Samboora village, the Awantipura Police in joint efforts with the Central Reserve Police Force launched a cordon-and-search operation at Akram Dar Mohalla.

LeT terrorist Umer of Abu Ismail group was killed in an encounter with the security forces in Samboora area of Pulwama district. The role of Umer in different crimes committed by Abu Ismail group was being ascertained.
