PDP MP Tariq Hameed Karra resigns both from party and Lok Sabha.

MP from Srinagar-Budgam constituency, Karra had threatened to resign if all his efforts of protesting or agitating against the government's failures on restoration of peace fail to change situation on the ground.

Stating that it is too early to comment on final outcome of the central government's proposed initiatives for restoration of peace and normalcy in the Valley, Karra, in a statement, reacting to suggestion of the joint resistance leadership that all elected representatives of the mainstream political parties including MLAs, MLCs and the Parliamentarians should resign, said he was very closely watching the situation and even protesting and agitating on it within available means.

"For the past 16 months, I have been asking for course correction. It is and it was an unnatural alliance with the BJP and it should have broken long long ago," Karra said.
