Arunachal-bound helicopter with 8 on board makes emergency landing

K Anurag reports: A helicopter with eight persons on board was forced to make emergency landing on an open field near Nagaon town in Central Assam at around 10:15am on Thursday after it developed a technical glitch. The chopper was travelling from Guwahati to Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh.

An official in Nagaon informed that the helicopter of Skyone Airways with six airline staff and two passengers had a technical snag mid-air shortly after take off from Guwahati airport at 10:00 am. 

The district administration in Nagaon has provided accommodation for the airway staff at the government circuit house till the helicopter is repaired while the two passengers took a car from Nagaon towards Itanagar.
