Billy Joel reschedules gig to undergo sinus surgery

Noted pianist Billy Joel is rescheduling an upcoming New York City gig to undergo sinus surgery.

The 67-year-old star has cancelled a performance at Madison Square Garden on September 30 to fix a nagging health issue, reported New York Daily News.

'Due to endoscopic sinus surgery, Billy Joel will reschedule his upcoming September 30th concert at Madison Square Garden to November 21, 2016,' a statement from a representative read. 'The procedure will require him to rest his voice and avoid any strenuous activity. With several weeks of rest, Billy is expected to make a full recovery.'

Joel will return to the stage on October 28.
