Security stepped up at Kolkata Airport after threat call

Security has been increased at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata after a threat call was made to the Kolkata Police Headquarters in the city.

Thorough security checks are being carried out at the airport, both at the cargo and the passenger terminal. 

Officials in charge of airport security suspects the call is a hoax. 

According to sources, the call which was made at 01:30 at night, and the anonymous caller warned someone was planning to attack the airport. Sources the caller warned of a human bomb. 

Special checks are being carried out at the airport. The police are trying to trace from where the call was made and the identity of the caller.
