A fire broke out on Wednesday in two-storey wooden building at Mazgaon in South Mumbai, fire officials said.

However, no one was hurt in the incident, they said.

The blaze erupted on the second floor of the building around 12.30 pm and was doused within two hours after eight fire engines and seven water tankers were rushed to the spot, the officials said.

The building is quite old and houses both residential and commercial units. During the fire fighting exercise, people living in the building were evacuated and shifted to a nearby locality.
