Ashutosh, a senior leader of the Aam Aadmi Party has defended himself and questioned the National Women Commission's action againts him for a column he wrote on the removal of Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar over a sex scandal.

On Monday, the NCW filed a case against the AAP leader for his 'objectionable column'.

Ashutosh, a former editor, has said a police case against him violates his right to freedom of expression and an order to appear before the country's top women's rights body suggests a dangerous skew towards "a fascist state."

In a series of tweets, he wrote, "Atmosphere is created where  critical analysis of history not allowed, freedom of expression will be crushed, voice of dissent suppressed."
