Mumbai court issues NBW against Mallya

A Mumbai court on Saturday has issued a non-bailable warrant against Vijay Mallya in Rs 1000 crore service tax evasion case.

Mallya was asked to appear before the court but he failed, following which the court has issued a NBW against him.

The court has also issued a non-bailable warrant against Kingfisher Airlines's chief executive Sanjay Agrawal in the case.

Earlier in the day, the Enforcement Directorate had attached the beleaguered businessman's properties and shares worth Rs 6,600 crore.
