Infiltration bid foiled in J&K's Tangdhar sector, one jawan killed

An infiltration bid by terrorists has been foiled in Jammu and Kashmir's Tangdhar sector, the army said.

The terrorists from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir were trying to slip into the area near the Line Of Control, Press Trust of India quoted an official as saying.

One soldier has died in the operation and one has been injured. The injured soldier has been evacuated, the official said.

The operation was in progress and further details were awaited, he added.
