Swaraj urged to intervene in bringing home jawan's body

Darjeeling MP and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, S S Ahluwalia has written to External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, seeking her help in ensuring speedy return of the body of a Gorkha jawan who died in Congo.

The letter released to press today stated that Brijesh Thapa of 4/5 Gorkha rifles was sent to Congo as part of the UN Peacekeeping force and was posted there where he died last week. The letter said Thapa hailed from Tayang Dang Basti, Sinjee, Kalimpong district.
