Pvt jet carrying Naidu, Rudy aborts take off

A private jet carrying Union ministers M Venkaiah Naidu and Rajiv Pratap Rudy today aborted take off from Delhi airport at the last moment due to a glitch.

The eight-seater Hawker 800XP chartered aircraft was taxiing for take off when a "warning" was triggered, forcing the pilot to abort the flight seconds before being air borne. Naidu was on his way to Jaipur to file his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha polls. 

However, there was no harm to any of the persons on board the aircraft. "Both Naidu and Rudy are safe. 

They were delayed by about two hours and took another jet for Jaipur," BJP sources said. Naidu, who is Parliamentary Affairs Minister, and Rudy who holds the charge of skill development ministry and is also a former civil aviation minister, were later flown to Jaipur in another private plane for filing his Rajya Sabha nomination papers from Rajasthan.
