Finance Minister Arun Jaitley during his visits to state capitals stays in guest houses of nationalised banks and not five-star hotels. In fact, Jaitley urged a cabinet meeting to save money by staying in guest houses and not fancy hotels. At least 28 nationalised banks have guest houses even in small towns in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, while eight PSU banks have their own guest houses in six metros, which are believed to be much better than even Lutyen bungalows.
