Heat wave warning issued in Telangana for next 3 days

Most parts of Telangana are likely to witness heat wave conditions for next three days from today and the mercury is likely to touch 45 degrees Celsius mark, Meteorological Department has said.

The department issued a heat wave warning for next three days from Monday in most parts of Telangana. It said two places in Karimnagar district is likely to record the highest maximum temperature of 45 degree Celsius in the state.

"Heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated places in districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, Khammam, Medak and Nalgonda over the next 72 hours (May 23 to May 25)," the weather bulletin said.

According to forecast, "Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana. Most places in the state are very likely to record maximum temperatures between 40 to 45 degree Celsius". 

"Heat wave conditions prevailed today in Adilabad and Karimnagar districts. There was marked rise in maximum temperatures at one or two places over Telangana. They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telangana," it said.
