"I extend my heartiest wishes to all voters. The election results are quite exciting for BJP and NDA. Peaceful elections took place and I want to thank the voters of all the five states for believing in the BJP. 

'Today's results are extremely encouraging for the NDA. BJP forming a government in Assam surprised many just like the time when we joined a government in J&K. I congratulate Amit Shah and his team, state incharges and party workers," said the PM.

"BJP is fast gaining acceptance across the country, this is great for democracy," he added.
