AIADMK prays for an Amma win

In Chennai, AIADMK supporters hold a pooja for Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa's victory. The exit polls (3 out 4) predict a victory for the DMK. They also discount the DMDK-led Third Front of "Captain" Vijayakanth and the PMK of Anbumani Ramadoss.

Early trends from Tamil Nadu show that actor Vijayakanth of the DMDK, who is contesting from Ulundurpet, is trailing. The electoral battle is expected to be between the ruling AIADMK and the DMK, with the rest being squeezed out.

One of the primary reasons for an AIADMK loss, if the exit polls are right, is Jayalalithaa's lack of connect with the people.
