The north Kashmir Handwara alleged molestation victim Monday claimed that her earlier statement on the incident had been recorded under duress.
A report by Mukhtar Ahmad/Rediff.com reveals that the girl told a media conference in capital Srinagar this afternoon that a soldier had held her hand after which she rushed out of a washroom in panic.
The alleged molestation of the girl had triggered violent protests in north Kashmir Kupwara district which claimed five lives and injuries to scores others including security personnel.
