JUST IN: Union cabinet meet underway on Uttarakhand

The Union cabinet meet is underway at 7RCR currently to discuss the situation in Uttarakhand.

Ahead of the floor test in the assembly on March 28, the Uttarakhand crisis took a new turn on Saturday when the rebel Congress MLAs accused Chief Minister Harish Rawat of horse-trading.

The Congress, which has a strength of 36 MLAs in the 70-member assembly, faces revolt by nine MLAs, led by former chief minister Vijay Bahuguna, who are said to have voted against the government in the financial business last week.
