Smriti Irani injured in car accident on Yamuna Expressway: Reports

Times of India reports: Union minister Smriti Irani reportedly received minor injuries on Saturday after her car met with an accident on the Yamua Expressway. 

Irani, along with other senior leaders of the BJP, was returning to Delhi from a meeting of the party's youth wing in Vrindavan.

According to reports, Irani injured her knee in the accident in which many cars crashed into each other.

According to preliminary information, the collision took place when a motorcyclist, Ramesh Kumar, hit a Honda City car. Irani's escort vehicle was just behind the Honda City.

Kumar, said to be a resident of Kalindi Vihar in Agra, died in the accident.
