Sharif orders security assessment before Pak plays World T20 in India

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered a security assessment before the country's participation in World T20 hosted by India, Pak media has reported.

Sharif has ordered Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali to send a team to India to assess measures adopted for Pak cricketers' security ahead of the tournament.

Earlier in the day, a writ petition regarding the security issues during the Indo-Pak match of World Cup T20 in Dharamshala was disposed of by the Himachal Pradesh high court after the advocate general of the state assured the HC that the government would maintain law and order situation during the match.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh also said that if the Himachal Pradesh government demands security forces, the Centre provided them.
