Modi is a juggernaut. The country needs to know there's an alternative: Omar

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah has sounded an early alarm for the national Opposition saying Narendra Modi is an "electoral juggernaut" who will be tough to defeat in 2019.

"People do want an alternative but we are not giving them one," Abdullah said. "Someone has to bite the bullet."

He was also critical of the way the Congress is conducting itself: "A Band-Aid is not going to work, the Congress requires drastic surgery."
