The launch gives us immense confidence for us to carry out more complex missions, carry larger number of satellites, says B Jayakumar, ISRO mission director on successful launch of record 20 satellites from Sriharikota.

"We have accomplished a major landmark today," he adds.

Congratulating ISRO scientists, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted: "Our space programme has time and again shown the transformative potential of science & technology in people's lives."
