Salman Khans father Salim Khan apologises for the actors rape remark, says what he said was wrong, but his intention was not. "Undoubtedly what Salman said is wrong, the simili, example and the context. The intention was not wrong," Salim Khan tweeted. "I apologise on behalf of his family, his friends and his fans," his father said.

The 50-year-old actor was quoted by the site SpotboyE as saying during a media interaction on the weekend: "When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn't walk straight."

In the audio of the interaction on Saturday, he appeared to retract seconds later, saying: "I don't think I should have..."
