Bihar topper scam: Ex-Board chairman, wife arrested

Former Bihar School Examination Board chairman Lalkeshwar Singh and his wife Usha Sinha have been arrested in connection with the alleged irregularities in the results of the toppers in the Class 12 Arts and Science examinations this year.

A warrant had been issued by a Patna civil court last week against Singh, who is a key accused in the case, and his wife who the investigator believe was actively involved into the irregularities at the BSEB and was quite influential in its affairs.

Singh had gone underground after resigning from the board two weeks ago ever since his name figured in the Class 12 toppers' scam.
