A minister's tough house-keeping call
June 20, 2016  13:32
In April a Union minister  occupied a spacious government bungalow near the prime minister's residence, and has since been struggling to put it back in shape.

The previous occupant, a secretary to the Government of India, was dear to UPA leadership who had this habit of leaking information about the Narendra Modi government. While the officer cultivated potatoes in the spacious garden, his daughter converted the accommodation into a rekhi centre, and the whole accommodation had thus been altered.

The officer could read horoscopes, but alas failed to realise when the axe fell on him. And cleaning up the house once he vacated it has fallen on the minister.
