Indian woman working with NGO kidnapped in Kabul

An Indian woman working with an NGO was kidnapped in Afghanistan capital Kabul on Thursday night, sources said.

40-year-old Judith D'Souza, a resident of Kolkata, is a senior technical adviser with the Aga Khan Foundation.

Surveillance teams and special forces were trying to locate the woman whose mobile phone was switched on for some time after the abduction.

The Indian embassy is in touch with authorities in Afghanistan, sources said, adding that the government has also informed the woman's family in Kolkata.
