President Pranab in Shimla for summer retreat

President Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday begins his five-day summer retreat in Shimla.

The President, to be accompanied by his daughter Sharmistha, would preside over the golden jubilee convocation of Indira Gandhi Medical College at Peterhoff on June 3 and attend a banquet to be hosted in his honour at Raj Bhawan.

Mukherjee, who will stay at Chhrabra, 14 km from Shimla, would host "At Home" on June 5 and return to Delhi on June 6.
