India, US ink terror screening info exchange agreement

An arrangement between the authorized governmental agencies of the governments of India and the United States for exchange of terrorist screening information was signed in New Delhi today.

The arrangement was signed by Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi and US Ambassador to India Richard Verma.

As per this arrangement, both sides shall provide each other access to terrorism screening information through designated contact points, subject to domestic laws and regulations.

The arrangement would enhance the counter terrorism cooperation between India and US.
