Salute Sidhu ji for his courage: Kejriwal

Hours after Navjot Singh Sidhu gave up his Rajya Sabha seat, amidst rumours that he will be joining the Aam Aadmi Party and becoming their chief ministerial candidate in Punjab, AAP chief and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter and wrote, "People can give their right hand for an RS seat. Ever seen a sitting RS MP resigning to save his state? I salute Sidhu ji for his courage."

Earlier speaking about his resignation, Sidhu said Punjab's interest was paramount. "In the war of right and wrong, you can't be neutral," the former cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP said and added, "Every window leading to Punjab is closing. I am now a mere burden and I prefer not to carry it."

He further said that because he became MP to serve people, he couldn't be sitting on the fence.
