Horror in Moscow: Woman holding severed child's head detained

A woman holding a child's severed head at a busy Moscow metro station has been arrested and charged with murdering a young child in her care. The woman, suspected of having psychological problems, was shouting "I am a terrorist" in Russian and threatened to blow herself up, according to local news reports. 

In footage purportedly of the incident posted online, the woman is seen dressed in black near an entrance to Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station in northwest Moscow. 

According to witness reports, the unidentified woman pulled the severed head out of her bag shouting "I killed a child" and "I am a terrorist."

Russia's interior ministry confirmed that the woman had been holding a real human head of a child, thought to be four year's old.
