Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar asked people to share information, if they have any, with the state police regarding the alleged incident of sexual assault of women near Murthal in Sonepat during the Jat quota agitation.

Those people who possess any information (regarding Murthal incident) must come forward and share it with the police. But we do not understand why the information is not being shared with the police by people (if they have), Khattar said.

Khattar, whose government faced wrath for alleged failure in containing arson and violence during Jat agitation, said a committee has been formed for receiving information about alleged rape or sexual assault with women.

A special team has been formed and their mobile numbers have been given. If any complaint comes or any eyewitness provides any information, immediate action will be taken, he further said.
