Kanhaiya Kumar sent to 1-day police custody

JUST IN: A Delhi court has sent jailed JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar toone day police custody in a sedition case.

Kanhaiya will be in jail for five more days as the Delhi high court decided yesterday to hear his bail plea on February 29.

Kanhaiya was arrested in a sedition case on February 12 after an event held at the JNU campus against the execution of 2001 Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.
