Parrikar's casual dress irks protocol babus

Defence minister Manohar Parrikar's casual attire during President Pranab Mukherjee's At Home at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Republic Day has upset the protocol division.

The dress code for the occasion says, 'National Dress', but Parrikar chose to wear his signature bush shirt and trousers as did Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

Parrikar has asserted that he will continue to dress as he chooses.

A Vishakhapatnam-based businessman, embarrassed by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwals sartorial sense, has sent him a demand draft of Rs 364 requesting Kejriwal to buy a decent pair of shoes and not attend important occasions wearing sandals.
