Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is in the forefront of anti-demonetisation protests, today said senior party leader Sudip Bandopadhyay has received three calls from the Central Bureau of Investigation, but that will not deter the party from fighting against note ban.

Banerjee said the TMC will not be cowed down by the 'Centre's tactics of browbeating my party'.

Stating that Bandopadhyay, who is TMC parliamentary party leader in Lok Sabha, has received three calls from the CBI, she said, "Nothing will deter us from the fight against demonetisation."

When contacted, Bandopadhyay said he has received three calls from CBI.

"I called them (CBI) back. They said you have to come to our office," he said.

Bandopadhyay is also the chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways. -- PTI
