Defence minister Manohar Parrikar and and the heads of all three wings of the Indian armed forces pay homage at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate in New Delhi. The day marks India's military victory over Pakistan in 1971 during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The victory resulted in the secession of East Pakistan into Bangladesh.
