PM's address would have left Oppn red-faced in Parliament: BJP

With the Congress upping its ante on the last day of the Winter Session on the government's demonetisation drive, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said the opposition would have been left red-faced had Prime Minister Narendra Modi voiced his opinion on the issue in Parliament.


Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari said Prime Minister Modi while addressing the party's parliamentary party meeting alleged that the Congress is least bothered about the nation.


"The things the Prime Minister mentioned in the Parliamentary Party meeting, if the opposition would have allowed him to speak in Parliament then Rahul Gandhi and the opposition would have been left red-faced," he said.


"PM Modi spoke on why opposition and the Congress are going against the demonetisation policy," he added.Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel quoted Prime Minister Modi as saying that how the opposition kept talking about black money and demonetisation but never really did anything in this regard.
