Illegal construction at Jadeja's restaurant in Rajkot razed

Illegal construction at cricketer Ravindra Jadeja's restaurant in Rajkot was today razed during a demolition drive launched by the local civic body against unauthorised structures in the city.

Rajkot Municipal Corporation pulled down illegal houses, shops and an unauthorised portion of "Jadddu's Food Field", the restaurant owned by the 28-year-old all-rounder who is currently a member of India's Test team.

"A team of RMC pulled down a store room and a kitchen constructed illegally by the management of Jaddu's Food Field restaurant located on Kalavad Road," Town Planning Officer M D Sagathiya said.

"The demolition drive was conducted in two areas -- Mavdi Road and Kalavad road. The corporation demolished 32 houses and pulled down illegal portion of commercial buildings in both these localities," Sagathiya said.
