Rs 76 lakh in new notes seized in Surat, Rs 10 lakh in Gurugram

Crime Branch seized new notes worth Rs 10 lakh (approx) during a search operation near Gurugram, last night. Investigations are underway.

In Surat, Gujarat, police arrested four people carrying new notes worth Rs 76 lakh in new notes. The matter is under investigation.

Meanwhile, the income tax department conducted survey at Axis Bank's Chandni Chowk branch in New Delhi. 15 accounts at this branch are found to be fake and Rs 70 crore have been deposited in these fake accounts.

Since November 8, over Rs 450 crore have been deposited into different accounts in the Chandni Chowk branch of Axis Bank. ANI
