UN team visits Hyd to study police's 'women-friendly' measures

A special women's team of the United Nations was on a visit here to observe and study the initiatives taken up by the Hyderabad City Police towards the safety and security of women.
As part of the visit, the six-member UN Women team went to the 'Bharosa Centre' and 'SHE Teams' offices here.

The team comprised Nora Allgaier from UN Women, Ovais Sarmad from International Organisation for Migration and four other delegates from different countries. 

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crimes & SIT) Swati Lakra gave a detailed power point presentation about the "women-friendly" initiatives of Hyderabad Police, like SHE Teams, Hawk Eye mobile App and Bharosa Centre, among others. 

The team studied the working of Bharosa Center by going through its sections, including family-counselling, video-conference, legal-counselling, child-counselling, medical, and also the SHE teams office.
