Salman to present Indian Olympic athletes with Rs 1 lakh each

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has announced that he will present each Indian athlete at the Rio Olympics 2016 with a cheque of Rs 1,01,000.

The actor, who is one of the goodwill ambassadors of the Indian contingent for the Rio Olympics this year, conveyed this message on social media sites.

"As a gesture of appreciation for our Olympic athletes, I will present each one with a cheque of Rs1,01,000. The government is very supportive of sports. Each of us can also do our bit to encourage a sports nation," he said.
