Huffington Post co-founder and editor-in-chief to leave company

Arianna Huffington, who co-founded the Huffington Post 11 years ago and built it into one of the largest digital media outlets in the US says she will be leaving the company in the coming weeks to focus on a soon-to-launch startup dedicated to issues of health and wellness -- Thrive Global.

She wrote on Twitter, "I thought HuffPost would be my last act. But Ive decided to step down as HuffPosts editor-in-chief to run my new venture, Thrive Global.

"To everyone at HuffPost: its you who make HuffPost what it is. Im filled with gratitude to all the colleagues and friends Ive made here."
