Election Commission lodges FIR against Assam CM Tarun Gogoi for violating poll conduct

Accordin to reports, the Election Commission has directed the police to lodge an FIR against Assam CM Tarun Gogoi. 

The district magistrate has confirmed that an FIR has been lodged.

According to sources, the Assam CM addressed a press conference in Guwahati early this morning which counts as a violation as per RP act 126, since it may influence the voters.

Gogoi has said that the commission has not maintained neutrality. 

"For the first time, I have seen the Election Commission not being impartial in the state," said Tarun Gogoi.
