1 dead, 23 injured in IED blast in Assam's Goalpara district

An improvised explosive device blew up near the BJP election office in the Dudhnoi area in Assam's Goalpara district today.

According to reports, the blast occcurred at 7.30 pm.

The IED blast killed one, while injuring 23 others, including 3 policemen.

According to reports, the explosive was placed inside a dust bin.

The injured are being taken to the Govt Hospital in the area, the Assam ADGP informed.

Dudhnoi is set to go to polls in the ongoing assembly elections on April 11.
