IB official abducted by militants near Bangladesh border?

A Central Intelligence Bureau official posted at Rongapara area of South Garo Hills district of Meghalaya bordering Bangladesh has gone missing since September 24. Police officials suspect the IB official Bikash Singh has been abducted by unidentified militants. A senior police officer confirmed to Rediff.com that efforts were on to trace the IB official, who hails from Bihar.

"We dont know the fate of the abducted IB official. The identity of the militant group involved in is unclear at the prsent time and we are doing our best to trace him," said the police official.
