Woman among 2 Maoists killed by police in Telangana

Two Maoists including a woman were today killed in an alleged exchange of fire with police in a forest area of Warangal district of Telangana in the wee hours.
"There was an exchange of fire with the KKW (Karimnagar-Khammam-Warangal) committee near Somlagadda in Tadavai mandal under Pasara police station limits wherein two cadres including a woman were killed," a senior police officer told PTI.
Police seized one-carbine and one .303 weapon besides six kit-bags from the spot, he said. The combing and search operations is still on. There was no casualty on the police side, the officer added.
