Bombay HC allows meat sale on September 17

Just in: The Bombay high court has stayed ban on the sale of meat on September 17. This means that meat sale will be allowed on Thursday.

Under fire for its decision to ban slaughter and sale of meat in Mumbai for two days during Jain festival 'Paryushan', the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Friday had told HC that it has decided to withdraw its decision The BMC had informed the court of its decision during the hearing of a petition filed by meat-sellers challenging the four-day ban on meat sales, which included a two-day ban by the state government.
