Scribe shot dead in UP

A local scribe was shot dead by motorcycle-borne miscreants in Dheena area, police said today.

Hemant Yadav (45) who worked with a news channel was shot by bike-borne miscreants last night, Superintendent of police Amit Verma said.

He was rushed to the government hospital where he died.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and following a complaint by the deceased's wife, an FIR has been registered against unidentified persons at Chandauli police station here, Verma said.
