Teen kills self after 'humiliation' in school

A 15-year-old boy committed suicide in Telangana's Karimnagar district after he was allegedly punished in school for not paying fees. The teen also left behind a chilling video message detailing the 'humiliation' that led to him taking the drastic step.

The incident happened in Peddapalli area on Wednesday when the boy jumped in front of a train. Earlier that day, the teen was allegedly asked to stand outside the classroom along with six other boys for not paying fees.

In a video shot on a cellphone that he had borrowed from a cousin after returning from school that day, the teen, son of farmers, claimed that he had already paid Rs. 5,000 and that his family could afford no more. He said he felt 'humiliated' after he was punished and was ending his life.
