On April 23, 2012, Shyam Rai recalls a recce outing, cruising through Pen where Indrani Mukerjea asked him to stop at a point. Flanked by a hillock and a forest bush on one side, and a stream on the other, it was a calm Indrani who confirmed the location for Sheena, he says.

Rai's nine-page statement purportedly gives a detailed narrative of the manner in which Indrani allegedly plotted the conspiracy to kill Sheena and Mikhail. She even took a two-hour beauty break at a parlour, just before picking up Sheena on the day she was murdered, Rai states.
