Peter, Indrani siphoned off Rs 900 crore to their company 9X Media: CBI

Peter and Indrani Mukherjea siphoned off funds to the tune of Rs 900 crore to their company 9X Media through a layer of nine companies, the CBI told the court on Thursday.

Seeking Mukherjea's further custody, the investigating agency in the Sheena Bora murder case said that Indrani could have opened an account in the name of Sheena in HSBC, Singapore, through her friend Gayatri Ahuja, who worked in DBD bank, reports the Hindu.

The court extended Mukherjea's CBI custody till November 30.
